I've been a SAHM for almost 2 years now (Jan 2010). I started with selling items I bought at stores going out of business on Ebay, then I gradually started to create my own fabrics in AI and printing them through Spoonflower. My 1st handmade items started with just Custom Bound Baby Memory Books then expanded to now selling photo albums, bibs, burp cloths, brag books, scrapbooks, pacifier clips, loveys, pot holders, photo ornaments, nursery wall art, Christmas ornaments and many other items that are only handmade that I created and designed myself.
I enjoy creating my own designs, the colors, images I love it all, now what I don't really like is creating all those listings. If I could I would do all the fun art stuff and leave the boring listing stuff to someone else lol. But it's just me for now : ) (my husband helps with packaging all the merchandise and adding snaps to anything that needs it, he's stronger and can get the snaps on nice and tight)
I plan to expand my merchandise to local store in the near future, try to either get in Wholesale or through Commission. I also hope next year to do more art/craft/festival vending. I had hoped to do some holiday vending but I just didn't have the time or extra money to invest before the deadlines.
